When traveling to Nepal, it’s important to be mindful of customs regulations regarding electronics. To ensure a smooth entry and avoid unnecessary delays or fines, travelers should bring no more than one laptop or phone in their luggage.
Nepal’s customs policies allow personal electronic items like laptops for personal use, but bringing more than one could raise suspicion of commercial intent. To avoid complications inform yourself about the current regulation.
That being said. When you can explain why you require two laptops or phones (e.g. one as a backup) and they are not in their original packaging you most likely can bring them. This is no guarantee, but it has worked before.
If you want to donate multiple laptops please get in contact first. We can organize a school that needs the laptops, the paperwork that is a donation, and everything else. This is some effort, but it was worth it in the past.
So please support our volunteering efforts in Nepal. We will help and support you in having a hassle-free volunteering experience!
